Who is Chris?

Hello, I’m Chris Davis and I’m running for city councillor for the St.Norbert – Seine River ward.

I was born and raised in Winnipeg. I spent the majority of my life in Transcona, but I have been a St.Norbert resident for the past 16 years.

I grew up in foster care and attended school at Radisson, John W. Gunn and Transcona Collegiate

In 2001 I met Tina, the women that would later become my wife. In 2002 I moved into the St.Norbert neighbourhood as we were expecting our daughter Trielle. In 2007 we had our son Cruz. 2009 was a very busy year for us as we planned a wedding and got married in August of that year. In 2012 our third and final child Cairo was born.

Monday to Friday I work as a courier driver throughout the city for Top Dog Courier. Through the years I’ve held different jobs in different fields all leading me to take on roles with more responsibilities. In the past I have worked as a: delivery driver, electrical apprentice, general labourer, shipper receiver supervisor. I believe this has given me experience in different fields to be able to bring a different perspective to City Hall.

I spend my free time with my kids and cheering them on at their activities, while fulfilling the many hats I wear with the clubs and organization. I enjoy soccer, golfing and playing hockey out of both the Dakota Community Center and Richmond Kings Community Center.

I may not already be in a political position, nor do I belong to a political party, but politics have always been a passion of mine. I take on leadership roles in everything I’m involved with.
